đš Important Update: Upcoming Dev Fund Migration
Today, weâre migrating our 8-year-old developer fund to a new wallet.
This is an internal transfer to update security, foster development, and streamline funding flows. đ§”đ

Why we're doing this:
Ecosystem Support: The funds will support core developers in expanding the Status ecosystem, including @StatusL2.
Streamlined Funding: A dedicated, secure wallet keeps funding for Status core development transparent and segregated.
Transparency: Old and new addresses will be publicly visible on Etherscan. đ
What the funds will support:
- Core App Development
- @StatusL2 Development Rollout
- Grants & Contributor Payments
And moreâŠ
Whatâs changing?
Only the wallet address for our developer SNT funds will change.
Core development funds will be deployed as outlined in the whitepaper.
Migration details:
When: July 14th, 2025
How: Weâll create an onchain multisig transaction to move the full balance from the old developer fund wallet to the new one.
Stay updated: The transaction hash will be shared on Discord and our Status community channels.
