Eleven years ago today, @muneeb and @ryaneshea launched Onename, the first attempt to create a decentralized identity system on the Namecoin blockchain. Kind of like the ENS names we use today. The cool thing they did was enable users to link their Twitter profile pictures as NFTs on Namecoin. OGs like @VitalikButerin tried it out. And some of the pfps - including Twitter Eggs and Blockheads - would later be valued by Historical NFT collectors. Onename would later move to Bitcoin, and Muneeb would famously go on to found @Stacks
